He's a squid. I recently discovered my latent love of sewing. This inspired me to purchase a 1947 Singer 201-2 and make a squid. I like him a lot. At least, I think it's a him. It's hard to tell on a squid...

He's so awesome!! How long did it take for you to get used to sewing with the Singer? I've been thinking about getting one for a few years, but always get stuck on how I tend to break needles on sewing machines...

I didn't have a period of "getting used to" the machine at all. It's like I was born knowing how to do it. It's kind of freaky...
Oh, and I forgot to mention the stretchy tentacles. I put elastic bands in two of his tentacles so they stretch. It's a lot of fun.

Whoa. Did you use a pattern for this or is this a Byron Original?

There is no pattern. I just drew the shapes freehand on the fabric and cut them out.
