I'm taking a cue from Layton's avatar project. I liked being responsible for making something everyday. It forced me to keep drawing and I found I not only started working much faster, but also improved some.
So my not so original project: The 151 Original Pokemon. Yeah, yeah, it's been done. But it's a subject I like and think it's something I will stick with, because I'm a stubborn ass.
One a day, for 151 days. This means I should wrap this project up on September 1st. (If I start posting tomorrow.)
I'm giving myself the freedom to try different mediums, styles, and quality. I will not, however, allow myself to cheat the system and use art that was made in the past. Cause we all know I have a lot of pokemon art already made.
To up the ante, I want requests on styles or artists to try to replicate for each day. You can make a huge list if you want, or just post an idea if it comes to you. This will force me to keep pushing myself and it keeps things interesting for my sake. Also we all have different inspirations and ideas. It's nice to get exposed to things that I'd never reference.
So if y'all don't mind. Gimme some ideas so I can get started. :)

Ah Silly, you beat me to the punch. I was thinking about making a thread for ideas to draw because I really want to get better as well.
Anyways, I was watching some Dexter's Lab today so I have that on the mind. Do it so it looks like it would be from Dexter's Lab.

Oooh I like the Byron idea. Thanks guys. I'm going to try to take all suggestions, if you don't see me doing them right away I may be saving it for a specific pokemon later on. Site is back up, although missing about 75% of my other crap. But, you can see my daily pokemon there if you are ever so inclined. First day is inspired by vintage Little Golden Books. posting ideas that were given to me/had but I don't want to forget Byron: pointillism, south park Fake: Hieroglyphics Silly: Cubism, Leonardo Da Vinci hmp: John K (ren and stimpy), Poke Man (robot)

WHAT! I expected you to for 151 days EXACTLY WITHOUT FAIL to make a new Pokemon pic in whatever style we told you to! I am exceptionally mad and angry and pissed!

If you don't have ImageReady, it can be done with this website. Simply make each step of the image in Photoshop or Illustrator or even paint, save the images, and load them in order. It's really easy, though ImageReady is far more convenient. This site has a 100 frame limit, but I wouldn't expect you to go NEARLY that many frames.
