At some point we should do a 1950's Sci-fi double feature. I propose Them! and Forbidden Planet since they are to my estimation the best representatives of giant monster movies and space movies, respectively.
If we've all seen those two we can come up with something else, but if not, they are important movies to see since they are the originators of many classic tropes.
Some more suggestions: City Lights My Neighbor Totoro The Great Race Anything Marx Brothers

Yellow Submarine.
I know Layton is un-fond of the Beatles, but it's actually a good movie.

For some reason I've been thinking about Singin' in the Rain a lot recently. I remember enjoying it quite a bit. Would anyone be interested in watching it?
Leave it to Gene Kelley to make singing and dancing manly.

I love anthology horror movies. Probably because of my short attention span. I've never seen Dead Of Night, and I really want to. www.imdb.com/title/tt0037635/I saw some of Kwaidan a long time ago, and I like what I remember. www.imdb.com/title/tt0058279/I'm also good with re-watching any of the ones I've seen a hundred times, like Creepshow 1 and 2, Cat's Eye, Nightmares, Trilogy Of Terror, Tales From The Crypt, Tales From The Dark Side, Tales From The Hood, etc..
